What to buy ? Generic medicines or brand medicines?
It is a common well known truth that medications in America are quiet expensive. Spending my whole salary on prescribed brand medications would be a complete madness. I have searched for years for a solution to find a way to save my earnings on prescribed medications. My pharmacist offered me instead of brand name medication a generic version of it. I was so surprised as I never knew what generics are. I have figured out that there are lots of people like me. They have no idea that there is a way to save some money on prescription drugs. Well my article is for those who want to save their cash. I will try to explain shortly what generic medications are.
A generic drug is a product that is identical to the brand drug in its dosage, form, strength, route of administration, quality and performance characteristics, and intended use. Generic medications are the equal form of the brand name product being in the same time effective and considerably cheaper. The high prices of brand medications and their shortages on the market made many pharmaceutical companies think of a subtituent. This way born generic medications. There are lots of countries which addopted the usage of generic drugs by Law. In the USA the generic medications are being under the control of Food and Drug Administration, by meeting the same strict regulations for safety and efficacy.
